The Legend of Korra Episode 5 Egged on by the press and the scheming Tarrlok, Korra finally agrees to join the anti-bending task force, and also goes public with a brash challenge to fight Amon in single combat. Instead of a one-on-one duel, Amon ambushes her with his fighters and then releases her, promising to finish her off when the time is right.

The Legend of Korra Episode 5 Afterwards, Korra confesses to Tenzin that she had been terrified all along. She may not have gone about about it the right way, but the young Avatar is at least facing up to her worst fears.

The Legend of Korra Episode 5 Korra reminds me a bit of the young Anakin Skywalker–struggling not only to master great power, but also trying to figure out the honorable way to use it. And Amon is far from a black-and-white villain–he (or he?) conjures up thoughts of V, the anarchist/revolutionary in a Guy Fawkes mask from the comic book and movie “V for Vendetta.” There’s a bit of the Occupy Wall Street movement thrown in there too.
